I grew up as a competitive swimmer on O’ahu and eventually a College Cross Country Scholar Athlete. After college, I was fortunate to compete with the World’s best as a professional bodyboarder.

I was raised on shooting 35mm film and the process of developing film intrigued me. I met and lived with an elderly woman by the name of Thelma Gregg who was a professional photographer. I studied with Thelma in High School but eventually focused more on my studies and athletics. It wasn’t until 20 years later I purchased an action camera then my husband’s hand me down dslr camera that inspired me to get back in the ocean.

Being in the surf makes me feel truly alive and brings me closer to GOD. There’s endless inspiration in the chaos and capturing those moments in the chaos gets me so stoked. There’s no place I’d rather be.

You can usually find me shooting at Sandy Beach, Ke’iki Beach, Pipeline, anywhere on the North Shore and West side.
